THE New Providence Basketball Association continued play at the DW Davis Gymnasium Tuesday night.

Division I

The JD's Seafood Shockers kept pace in the Vince Ferguson division and improved their record to 7-3 with a 74-67 win over the Leno Regulators.

The Shockers are now just two games behind the division-leading Rockets at 8-1 and recovered from last week's one-point loss to the Pirates.

William Rigby led the Shockers with a double double - 18 points and 14 rebounds. He also added three steals and two blocked shots in 31 minutes.

Henderson Curry was the only other Shockers player in double figures with 10 off the bench.

Shakwon Lewis finished with nine points, six assists and six steals, Reuben Goodman finished one point shy of a double double with nine points and 10 rebounds and Dewae Murray scored seven.

Kenneth Pratt led the Regulators with 12 points and 11 rebounds, Cruz Simon scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Cordero Thompson added eight points and eight rebounds.

Pratt scored the first point of the game and the Regulators took a 5-1 lead. Murray gave the Shockers their first lead of the game with a three pointer for an 8-6 lead.

It sparked a 9-0 run for the Shockers, capped by a pair of Lewis free throws for a 14-6 advantage. The lead reached 10 for the first time on a Floyd Armbrister runner and the Shockers led 18-11 at the end of the first.

The Shockers outscored the Regulators 19-11 in the second and took a 37-22 lead into the half. The lead never got below eight points and despite the Leno's slight edge in the third, JD's Seafood took a 53-41 lead into the fourth.

Both teams were inefficient with paltry performances from the field with the Shockers at 29 per cent and the Regulators at 21 per cent. Despite winning the rebound battle 84-71, the Regulators were outscored 21-15 on second chance points

Division II

The defending champion Breezes High Flyers placed four players in double figures en route to their 82-73 win over the Triple K Stampers.

Devontee Gibson led the Flyers with 23 points on 10-12 shooting from the field, while both Dwight Moss and Dave Davis finished with double doubles. Moss added 10 points, 13 rebounds and five steals while Davis finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Michael Turnquest led the Stampers with a game high 26 points and seven steals while Johnley Noel finished with 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Tied at 59 with 8:47 left to play, Gibson's dunk put the Flyers ahead for good. They would go on to lead by eight, when Davis made a layup for a 71-63 score at the 4:35 mark. The Stampers trimmed the lead to as little as four when Noel scoreed to trimmed the advantage, 77-73 with just over two minutes left to play, but the Stampers would be held scoreless the remainder of the game.

The Flyers led 20-11 at the end of the first, but the Stampers completely reversed momentum in the second quarter and used a 12-2 run to tie the game at 26. Turnquest's three beat the buzzer and they trailed just 38-35 at the break. The Flyers early eight point lead in the third was quickly erased and they clung to a 55-54 lead headed into the fourth quarter.

Despite an 0-9 night from threee point range, the Flyers shot 51 percent from the field and had eight more field goal makes than the Stampers. The Flyers also dominated in the paint with a 58-34 advantage.

Thursday's matchups at the DW Davis Gymnasium will feature the Leno Eagles Nest against the Breezes High Flyers and the Commonwealth Bank Giants against the Vitamalt Chargers.
