Bahamas Flag Football League season closes

THE Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC) was a proud sponsor of the 2018 Bahamas Flag Football League (BFFL) season, which came to a close on June 15 at the Winton rugby field. In addition to keeping players and spectators hydrated and energised with Dasani and Powerade throughout the season and All-Star games, CBC also brought a bit of the FIFA World Cup to the field.

The Coca-Cola Company is one of the longest-standing international corporate partners of FIFA. As the official bottler of Coca-Cola beverages in the Bahamas, the Caribbean Bottling Company made sure to share the spirit of FIFA throughout the tournament.

In addition to hosting an in-store promotion that allowed shoppers to get free, limited edition FIFA items, CBC also hosted several FIFA mini-matches at the BFFL games.

Flag footballers and spectators got the chance to show off their foot work as they competed in short games for the chance to win FIFA soccer balls, beach towels, bags and more.

"We are proud to support our Bahamian athletes and the Flag Football League," noted Nikia Wells, CBC marketing manager, communications. "In addition to our sponsorship support, we wanted to do something fun for the players and those who come to enjoy the games, in celebration of the World Cup. We have so many passionate flag and traditional football/soccer lovers, and it was amazing to see the two come together."
