Exactly!

Yes, Bowe is suggesting exactly that.

But while he's quite willing to tell us all about Fidelity Bank's handsome profit on the recent sale of their 50% stake in Royal-Fidelity, he hasn't said a word about the hit that Fidelity Bank will be taking on its book of business in Grand Bahama and Abaco as a result of Hurricane Dorian. Same goes for all of the other publicly listed banks and insurance companies. Why hasn't our worthless BISX required these publicly traded entities to make the kind of public announcements one would and should expect of them?!

U.S. would end up treating us like they do the Cubans in Cuba.

To the average North American, Bermuda, Barbados, Barbuda, Bahamas, etc. are all the same. They are not too worldly and truly ignorant when it comes to geography.

At age 32 he's simply too young. Clearly there has been no succession planning. In any event, the main reason the RBDF was such a dismal failure in the immediate aftermath of Dorian is because several of their larger sea vessels, that we paid well over a $100 million for just a few short years ago, have been allowed to become un-seaworthy. It seems our RBDF sailors do not get the training they need to properly operate and upkeep larger sea vessels equipped with sophisticated engines, loads of electronics and other technological wonders. Then there's also the problem of these vessels all too frequently being run aground in shallower waters. Oh well.

The UN Human Rights Council and Rights Bahamas are **not** truly concerned at all. If they were, they would be taking Haiti to task for not taking back their own people who are illegally residing in the Bahamas. Or they would be negotiating with other countries in the Caribbean to take the lion's share of these illegal Haitian aliens, recognizing that it is impossible for the Bahamas to sustain them in such large overwhelming numbers without the Bahamas itself turning into another Haiti.

True to form, Minnis said nothing about the additional very generous concessions his government has granted to the Red Chinese owners of Bahamas Mar under this supplemental heads of agreement. He's no different than Christie or Ingraham. Like his predecessors Minnis would have us believe that a confidentiality clause in the agreement prevents him from telling us about all the new concessions granted and disclosing the main local firm engaged as the general contractor for this new project. But we all known that such confidentiality is really sought by the government itself to keep the prying eyes of the public in the dark.

Meanwhile, as a result of the aftermath of Dorian, Minnis and Turnquest are plotting to do what they are known to do best - dramatically hike taxes and fees on the Bahamian people, and significantly increase the level of our country's already unsustainable national debt.

It seems the foreigners always get the very generous concessions while we Bahamians get the royal shaft to pay for the privilege of our government granting those very same overly generous concessions. But the real question is: What exactly did key government officials involved in the negotiations get for their great generosity shown to the Red Chinese owners of Bahamas Mar on behalf of the Bahamian people?

May be McAlpine has come to his senses and is getting ready to join Chipman? Hopefully other FNM MPs also come to their senses. One thing is for sure - Minnis has lost his senses - assuming he had any to begin with to lose.

Even before Dorian many of us were gravely concerned about Minnis's apparent lack of the core competencies and instincts necessary for anyone to be a good and effective leader. But Dorian has quite clearly left him without any clothes - totally bare for all too see him for who and what he truly is. And it's not a pretty picture!
