Appeal over hit and run killing

By KHRISNA VIRGIL kvirgil@tribunemedia.net POLICE are asking members of the public with information on the East Bay Street hit and run which killed a man in his late 40s to come forward. The man, identified as Valance Brown of Fowler Street, off East Bay Street was hit around 1am, on Sunday, west of the Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza. Police said Mr Brown was walking on the northern side of East Bay Street when he was struck by a passing vehicle which left scene. Police spokesperson Chrislyn Skippings said police are looking for a dark green Honda. She said: "It could be an Accord or a Civic. We are asking members of the public who may have seen a family member or a neighbour with damage to their Honda, that were not there previously, to give us a call. "Treat this case as if it were your family member or your friend. "You would want someone to help you. So please help this family. Also, this person may not even know they hit someone. "If you see damage on your car and are not sure where they came from or if you feel you may have hit something, please come forward."
