Defending champions Four J's Lady Cheetahs knocked off the Johnson Lady Truckers 80-71 Tuesday night as the New Providence Women's Basketball Association continued its regular season.
A double header was played at the DW Davis gym. In the first game, Anastacia Moultrie scored 22 points with 19 rebounds, two blocks and three steals to lead the Lady Cheetahs. Christine Sinclair added 18 points with three rebounds and two assists.
For the Lady Truckers, Shantelle Rolle scored a game high 24 points with five rebounds and three steals and Glenda Gilcud chipped in with 21 points with four rebounds, four assists and five steals.
In the second game, the Super Value Cybots Queens blasted the College of the Bahamas Lady Caribs 61-48.
Taneil Poitier scored a game high 21 points with six rebounds, two assists and three steals and Tracey Lewis had 21 points, nine rebounds, one assist and four steals.
In the loss for the Lady Caribs, Gabrielle McKinney had 13 points, eight rebounds, one assist and two steals and Celeste Pyfrom had 12 points, one rebound and an assist.
The NPWBA is slated to resume action 7:30pm tonight with another double header at DW Davis.
