Dynasty, St Agnes, and Wester are victorious

By Donovan Matthews DYNASTY, St Agnes and Western got victories as the Bahamas Cricket Association 2012 20/20 series continued at Windsor Park in New Providence. On Saturday, Dynasty scored an easy 126-run victory over St Alban, while Sunday's games saw St Agnes defeat St George by nine wickets and Western beat Bahamas Union of Teachers (BUT) by 73 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Dynasty amassed 211 for five from their allotted 20 overs mainly through the efforts of Donovan Matthews who slammed 85, Renford Davson 47 and Jonathon Barry 44. For St Alban, skipper Greg Taylor Sr claimed two wickets for 37 runs. St Alban was restricted to 85 for eight in reply with Lester Taylor hitting 22. Brian Bascom was unplayable for Dynasty, claiming four wickets for seven runs from four overs. Narendra Ekanayake supported with two for 21. In Sunday's first game, St George accumulated 158 for seven from their 20 overs. Orlanda Stuart hit 49 and Heskett Dean 44 while Errol Constantine claimed two wickets for 30 runs and Earl Thomas two for 35. St Agnes replied with 162 for 1 with Oral Wright and Constantine being unbeaten on 44 and 38 respectively. John Dolphin also contributed 36. Sunday's second game saw Andrew Nash slamming the weekend's only century, 129 not out, to lead Western to 212 for three in their quota of overs. He was supported by Dwight Weakly who made 30 not out. George Haye claimed two for 37 for BUT who replied with 139 for eight in their 20 overs. Himchand Rampersaud made 35 and Joey Edwards 30. Wycliff Atkinson claimed two for 14 and Wayne Patrick two for 30.
