INDEPENDENT candidate for Englerston Alex Morley will host a community convention on Saturday, February 11, and all constituents are invited. Mr Morley plans to use the event to fully explain his platform and invite residents to assist in formulating a solid plan that addresses the needs of the Englerston community. The event will be held at Englerston Park on Cordeaux Avenue and Lincoln Blvd from 2pm to 10pm. Presentations will begin at 5pm. The convention will allow residents to hear from Mr Morley first-hand about his plans for the community - plans that include initiating economic development programmes, improving the educational facilities and addressing citizenship rights issues. The convention will also allow local residents to participate in designing solutions to the problems they face. In addition, several attorneys will give presentations on knowing your rights when dealing with the police and the law, and citizenship rights.
