A SHOP packed floor to ceiling with accessories, swim and resort wear walked away with top honours and a cheque for $1,000 in an ongoing monthly contest to identify winning merchants, restaurants, attractions and experiences in the Bahamas Priceless program, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and MasterCard.
Congratulating Ashley Outten, left, manager of A La Plage at Marina Village this weekm were Tommy Thompson, deputy director-general at the Ministry of Tourism, and Diane Phillips, of Diane Phillips & Associates (DPA), the agency representing the programme in the Bahamas.
Now in its fourth year, the joint initiative between tourism and MasterCard has been voted a genuine people-pleaser, providing benefits for existing card holders when they arrive in Nassau and offering everyone - visiting and local - using the card the opportunity to add value to experiences. Some 53 businesses are participating in the programme this year, the largest number ever.
