THE Ministry of Public Works and Transport has announced more traffic diversions and road closures.
Market Street from Brougham Street to Duke Street will be fully closed on February 6 to facilitate the laying of water mains and drainage pipes. Drivers should use Baillou Hill Road or East Street as an alternative.
East Street between the Independence Roundabout and Soldier Road will be closed on February 3 and 4 for the application of the final layer of asphalt. Drivers should use Chenile Avenue as an alternative.
Marathon Road between Wulff Road and Ferguson Way South will be closed on February 4 and 5 for the application of the final layer of asphalt.
Claridge Road or Soldier Road should be used as alternatives.
A ministry statement said: "As usual, local access to businesses and residents will be granted in all areas of work.
"Motorists are asked to adhere to the posted traffic signs in construction areas."
The ministry urged the public to follow "NPIIP" on Facebook for more information and diagrams of diversion routes.
