POLICE arrested one of the two men they were searching for in connection with a fatal club shooting early Tuesday morning.
Paul Rolle, head of the Central Detective Unit, confirmed that Stephen "Die" Stubbs was arrested around 2pm yesterday at a residence in Ridgeland.
Mr Rolle said, however, it is too early to tell if or what he will be charged with.
Police issued an all points bulletin for Stubbs and another Julian "Head" Collie Tuesday afternoon.
According to Police Commissioner Ellison Greenslade the men were wanted in connection with a shooting at the Ballers night club that left a 21-year-old man dead.
Seven other people were also injured in the shooting. One man is still in critical condition, two men are stable and the others were released.
In total police have 23 men in custody between the ages of 17 through 54.
Commissioner Greenslade said police operations are continuing and police expect to arrest several more people in connection with this "gang" shooting.
Police say a fight erupted inside the club around 2am between two rival gangs.
Active investigations are continuing.
