A PRISON officer was given bail yesterday afternoon after he was charged in Magistrate's Court with causing harm to another man.
Mario Valentino Forbes, 32, of Hill Crest Drive, was granted $7,500 bail with two sureties by Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethel in Court 8, Bank Lane, following his arraignment for allegedly causing harm to Michael Collie on Monday, November 7.
The alleged incident reportedly centres around the accused and virtual complainant's involvement with a female.
When the issue of bail was raised by the presiding judge, prosecution offered no objections to Seven Hills Estate resident being granted bail.
Vandera Woods-Carey, defending, described Forbes as a model citizen who was gainfully employed and had no previous conviction or pending matters before the courts.
The judge granted the accused $7,500 bail and adjourned the matter to Wednesday, November 23, for a fixture hearing in Court 5, before Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.
