MORE than 100 officers have been promoted to various ranks within the Prison Service, according to a press release issued yesterday.
Prison Superintendent Dr Elliston Rahming officially announced that 112 officers have been promoted.
Three were elevated from the rank of Principal Officer to Chief Officer; 12 from Sergeant to Principal Officer; 61 from Corporal to Sergeant; and 36 from General Duty Officer to Corporal.
The promoted officers will receive official letters in a special ceremony at Her Majesty's Prison today at 2pm.
