QUIZNOS Subs (Bahamas) has re-established its presence on Paradise Island through a Marina Village outlet, a move that will provide employment for 15 persons, Tribune Business was told yesterday.
Ash Henderson, director of marketing for Restaurant Services, while unable to confirm the total investment in the new outlet, said the 15 persons to be employed include employees from the previous Quiznos Paradise Island store, as well as existing Jamba Juice employees who will now be working at Quiznos Marina Village.
With the reopening of its Paradise Island outlet, Quiznos now has two locations in Nassau, one in the Marina Village, and one in the US Departures Lounge at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA).
The sandwich chain recently embarked on an aggressive international growth drive, with a goal of establishing 40 international outlets within the next two years. Don Spina, director of operations for Quiznos in the Bahamas, stated at the recent opening: "We're happy to be able to bring the ease and convenience of Quiznos to visitors and residents alike. Quiznos' unique toasted subs are internationally popular, and offer a quick, healthy option to other foods. People are increasingly conscious about calories and nutrition. We satisfy on both scores."
The restaurant falls under Bahamian hotelier and businessman George Myers' Myers Group, which holds franchises for Quiznos Subs, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Dunkin' Donuts.
Dunkin Donuts (Bahamas) recently announced that it is set to open its fifth store location in a month's time, located in the old Quiznos location next door to Anthony's Grill on Paradise Island.
