Four in hospital after shootings

FOUR PEOPLE are in hospital after shooting incidents on Friday and Saturday.

Three females were injured in a shooting at around 5am on Saturday at a residence off Claridge Road.

Preliminary police reports indicate that two men armed with handguns entered the home and fired gunshots which resulted in the females, ages 30, 23 and 11 being shot.

The victims were taken to hospital via private vehicle where two are detained in stable condition and the 30 year old is in critical condition. Police are investigating.

The other shooting has left a 14 year old boy in hospital.

The incident reportedly occurred around 10:30 pm on Friday.

Preliminary police reports indicate that the teen, along with a friend, was walking through a track road in Nassau Village when the incident occurred.

The teen received multiple gunshot injuries to the body and was taken to hospital where he is detained in critical condition.

The second person was unharmed during the incident. Active police investigations continue.

SOUTHEASTEN POLICE CONDUCT OPERATION “RESTORE”

In keeping with the Commissioner of Police 2012 policing plan, “Enforcing the Rules of the Road” officers of the Southeastern Division conducted operation “Restore” within their divisional boundary.

The operation was held on Friday and resulted in 42 drivers being cited for various traffic offences and six men being arrested.

Three were arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs and the other three on outstanding Warrants of Arrest.
