POLICE have launched a murder inquiry after the body of a woman was found under a truck.

The victim is thought to be in her mid-twenties.

Her body was found earlier today partially beneath a truck in Perpall Tract near Saunders Beach with multiple shot wounds to the upper body.

Police have yet to identify the woman and are requesting the public's help. It will be the country¹s 36th recorded murder.
