SHOUTING "Papa go home!" "They red and they scared!" and "Pindling is my Papa", scores of PLP supporters lined the streets of Nassau Village yesterday taunting Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham as he toured their constituency.

Police were called to restrain the angry crowd that grew to hundreds within the hour as the PLP simultaneously held a motorcade in the Sea Breeze area.

Despite the "gold rush", the Prime Minister said he was "not concerned" about the PLP supporters because he was overwhelmed with the "love , support and hugs" from the FNM's.

The Prime Minister was continuing his tour of inner city communities considered to be PLP strongholds.

He told the constituents of Nassau Village and Sea Breeze to join in as the rest of the Bahamas goes "red".

"We are very confident that we are going to win this election, I just came back from MICAL and I can assure you that we are going to win that seat.

"I went to Moores Island, Abaco, today, which is a PLP stronghold, I am very confident with the great progress we made there.

"I am not saying we are going to win there but we have made good progress there, we will win the seat mind you, but we will not win the majority of votes in Moores Island. We only got 60 votes there the last time, but we will get that or more this time.

"I am going to Long Island today, a seat the FNM will keep and I'm headed to Exuma tonight a seat we will pick up, he said.

"The party is confident that the people of the Bahamas are going to go with us. We are making promises they can believe in and we have demonstrated that we are persons who will deliver and when the election comes on Monday you will see it."

Mr Ingraham said he believes the FNM overwhelmingly won the support of the police and defense force votes, despite what was printed in The Tribune.

He said: "We think that we won the police and Defence Force poll by comfortable margins not withstanding any bogus poll that was published in The Tribune.

"We are satisfied that the majority of the people of the Bahamas have decided to stick with the FNM."

Mr Ingraham told the residents to get rid of the "muck-mucks in the PLP" and give the FNM an opportunity to be their representative in government.
