DNA chairman's car broken into

The car of DNA chairman Mark Humes was broken into on Saturday. The break-in happened in the morning while Mr Humes was attending a funeral service at St Joseph Church on Boyd Road. Mr Humes' cell phone was taken from the car.

Why is this news? Many Bahamians have had their cars broken into, and worse, stolen. I am one of them. Why the he!l is this news? Someone please help me with this one.

You park your car almost anywhere in the world and leave your cell phone, which is as good as cash, visible you are either not very sharp or inviting someone to break your glass and take your phone. It's similar to leaving money on your dashboard. C'Mon Tribune, let's not feed into the silly season.
