FREEPORT - While in Grand Bahama on Saturday, opposition leader Perry Christie told Grand Bahamians it is time for them to abandon the Free National Movement.
"They may have ignored your voices for five years but on Monday they won't be able to ignore your votes," he told thousands gathered at the old Portion Control site in Freeport.
Mr Christie said Freeport went from "Magic City to ghost town" under the FNM.
"Three out of your five FNM MPs sat in Ingraham's Cabinet, but they couldn't help you Grand Bahama.
"They were powerless because Ingraham don't listen to them - just like he don't listen to you."
Mr Christie said that former FNM Cabinet minister Ken Russell has called Mr Ingraham a "tyrant".
