A GRIEF-STRICKEN son is demanding justice after his mother and brother were brutally murdered.
Andrew Bain said identifying his mother Bridgette Williams and brother Rashad Williams in the morgue was the hardest thing he has ever had to do.
Fighting back tears, the 23-year-old said he wasn't seeking retaliation but wanted the police "by any means possible to find the killers and bring them to justice".
Mother and son died at the scene at about 11pm on Monday, the day of the Bahamas election, after an incident at Baillou Hill Road and Dunmore Ave.
Police said there was a row between the occupants of a Honda Inspire vehicle and Rashad Williams, which resulted in Bridgette Williams, 42, being repeatedly shot.
Rashad, 22, tried to stop the car and was subsequently mowed down.
Speaking exclusively to The Tribune, Mr Bain described his mother as a 'mother to everyone' and the kindest person he knew.
He said: "Everyone in Bains and Grants Towns knows her. Everyone in the neighbourhood even the young people everybody knew her. Anybody with any type of problem you could call her with it and she could help you with it by any means possible. If you were having problems with your kids she could help you with that because she dealt with all her kids. She isn't the type of person to be looking for trouble. She is an inside person. She was just out last night to get my brother to come in. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time."
Andrew Bain wasn't present when his mother was shot but said he was told by family members what happened.
"She went out to call Rashad to come in, she was facing toward home and she was shot in the back and when she was shot in the back she dropped. As soon as she dropped to the floor somebody in a black vehicle roll over her, then they sped off and kept going," he said.
"Then my brother chased after the car and jumped on to the car trying to get them to stop. They started to swerve from side to side, the car flipped and after the car flipped it ran over him and crushed him too."
Mr Bain said that everyone was hurting and he didn't know how he would make it without his mother and his brother.
Police said they had three men in custody assisting them with their investigations.

The death penalty need to be put into place for criminals. Right now criminals think they have the upper hand and that they are living above the law. Criminals knows if they commit a crime, get a lawyer and sit on remand for 3 months eventually they will be out on bail to reoffend. It’s a game to them. What happen to the Cat Nine Tail or Hanging? These criminals have no regards or remorse for humans because they are doing their criminal acts in broad day light. HEARTLESS HUMANS. This need to be top priority.
