A WOMAN accused of conspiring to murder her banker husband and abetting two men in his "execution", went to the Supreme Court yesterday seeking bail.

However, 43-year-old Renee Sherman's bail hearing before Justice Roy Jones was adjourned to July 25, a day after her next appearance before the magistrates' court.

The Yamacraw Shores woman had appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez on Wednesday with three Pinewood Gardens residents: 33-year-old Jermaine Russell, and 21-year-olds Janaldo Farrington and Cordero Bethell.

They were expected to be served with Voluntary Bills of Indictment by prosecutors from the Attorney General's office to have the cases forwarded directly to the Supreme Court for trial.

However, only a few VBIs were presented to remand inmates and the accused defendants were not among them.

Sherman and Russell are charged with conspiring to commit murder along with aiding and abetting the murder of Stephen Sherman, which was called an "execution style" killing by police.

Bethell and Farrington were charged with murder and two counts of armed robbery, though Bethell did not stand before Chief Magistrate Gomez with the accused when their VBI servicing was adjourned to July 24.

Stephen Sherman, an assistant manager at the Royal Bank of Canada in Palmdale, was shot in the head when he pulled up to his Yamacraw Shores home on the evening of February 17.

He was robbed of his cell phone before being shot.

Sherman and Bethell had both retained Murrio Ducille to defend them.
