FREEPORT – Grand Bahama will get a boost in visitor arrivals next week when a new airline is expected to arrive on the island as part of a trial run.
Mauiva Air Cruise, based in Orlando Florida, will start its seven days, six nights Sun & Fun Experience in Caribbean Paradise package with four soft launch trips to Grand Bahama.
The first flight arrives on November 5, followed by subsequent flights on December 23, December 27, and March 16, 2013.
According to a press release, the ‘boutique’ destination inclusive packages include airfare, accommodations, meals, transportation, and activities.
The 29-passenger Mauiva AirCruise Embraer EMB Brasilia 120 aircraft will arrive at the Grand Bahama International Airport’s recently completed Fixed Based Operation.
“The Ad Hoc flights are intended to be a trial period before a formal launch is announced,” the release said.
Mauiva’s Caribbean Tour Package will depart from Orlando, Florida.
It will stay two days at the Grand Lucayan Beach Resort, two days in Grand Cayman, and two days in Cancun, Mexico.
The comprehensive package includes deluxe resort accommodations, breakfast, lunch, dinner and VIP access to various tour attractions.
Some of the unique nature-based experiences will include, but not limited to Snorkelling & Fun Cruise and Jeep Tour to secluded beaches and a sparkling blue sinkhole, Bonfire and Culture Show on Grand Bahama; Dolphin Cove and Stingray City in Grand Cayman; and Xplor and Chichen Itza in Cancun Mexico.
