AN ex-policewoman was arraigned in Magistrate’s Court yesterday accused of bigamy and obtaining credit under false pretences.

Shianne Rolle, 35, of Mt Tabor Estates, also known as Shianne Dillett, appeared before Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis of Court no. 5 facing a charge of bigamy and credit by fraud.

It is alleged that the woman, in April 2004 while in Nicholl’s Town, North Andros, married Bryan Dillett, knowing that she was already married to Demot Charlar.

It is also claimed that on May 28, 2009, she obtained $222,000 worth of credit from Sunshine Finance Limited by means of false pretences.

Rolle denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

There was no objection to her bail by the prosecution and her attorney, Keith Seymour, asked the court to consider bail as it was the magistrate who had the discretion to grant the accused bail.

Magistrate Rolle-Davis granted her $20,000 bail with a surety and set the trial for November 27 and 28.
