A MAN out on bail became the country’s latest murder victim when his bullet riddled body was discovered in bushes off Pinewood Gardens yesterday morning.

According to Assistant Superintendent Solomon Cash, around 9am officers of the South Eastern Division received information that the body of a man was found on a dirt road off Pine Crest Drive, Pinewood Gardens.

He said: “Officers were dispatched to the scene and on arrival they confirmed there was a black male lifeless body lying in a bushy area.

“They contacted EMS personnel who examined the body and pronounced the individual dead. We are classifying this discovery as a murder because the victim had apparent gunshot injuries to the upper and lower body.”

Police have not released the identity of the victim, however, The Tribune understands he is Eric Morley, also known as “Trolley” of Fox Dale.

According to police sources, Morely, who is well known to police, was recently released on bail and was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet.

ICS Security Concepts contacted police after noticing he had not moved for several hours.

Anyone with information on this latest homicide is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502- 9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

Morely became the country’s 99th murder victim for the year.

I thought that the PLP and Urban 2.0 were going to stop this stuff.

They have had some time now but no results.

Next we will have this here in Abaco!

How could one predict the actions of another. For whatever reason such crimes are carried out, if the reason exists in Abaco, be certain it will happen. PLP, FNM nor DNA could stop that.

I do remember the PLP was blaming Tommy Turnquest and the FNM.

Ok then since thats what you remember, is that the solution or does it help in any way? The sky is green. Remember me saying that when you look up again and consider if you could trust what a person SAY.

What is the real count on the murder rate, why is the daily newspapers giving so much conflicting informations with reference to the count, Why since 7th May everything seem to be so distorted, hiding will not make it go away.

If the murder rate is incorrect, how is your comment useful if you fail to post the exact count and the proof of your amount being accurate.

Well the daily news I listen to on 100.3 stated the murder rate went up by one, which never could be regarded as stating an overall amount. However reading the Tribune article one would see the amount printed was 99. Now my comment to you was simply to justify your remark with reference proof. Eg. (The Punch gives the murder rate as 000, the Guardian - 001 and the Tribune 002, which s correct). I along with many other Bahamians did read (The Tribune), thats why again I say how is your comment useful if you fail to post where you obtain your other figures from along with the conflicting amount.

While we argue over the number of murders for the year, lets all agree that it is far too high and if it continues year after year, 'no young man in this country will be safe. Time has demonstrated that neither Tommy Turnquest and the FNM or Urban Renewal 2.0 and the PLP is effective in stemming the flow of blood in this country and the tragic loss of life among our young male population.

The shooting death of the 79 year old grandmother during storm Sandy was tradegy enough, especially for the family, but when you look at the young, innocent looking, young boy who is accused of doing the killing, your heart goes out to him and his family. The child looks like he still has milk around his mouth and appears dazed and confused and not the regular type person you see brought before the courts for this type of killing.

Is this spiritual warfare going on in this country where satan is using our young men to destroy each other? ANd to maim and kill others as well? If so then we need to stop the blame game and stop counting numbers and bring out the spiritual weapons. Lets start by sending a team of pastors and ministers to every school in this country. To pray for and anoint each student. If you cannot save their lives at least you will save their souls..John 3:16

Any resistance against the tribune was tantamount to a violation of his sacrosanctity, and thus was considered a capital offense. Their lack of magisterial powers made them independent of all other magistrates, which also meant that no magistrate could veto a tribune. Thank you.
