THE Bahamian American Cultural Society captured the award for best cultural dress at the Sixth Annual African Day Parade in New York City.
BACS put together an enthusiastic group of Bahamians, Bahamian-Americans, and friends of the Bahamas who were splendidly robed in colours reflecting the vibrancy of the Bahamas, and who patriotically waved the Bahamian flag.
The leadership of BACS dedicated the march to the memory of the late Paul L Adderley.
“He was an outstanding Bahamian, and will be remembered as an exemplary patriot, and framer of the Bahamas Constitution.
“Thanks to all volunteers who participated in the march and to all who support our mission,” said the BACS in a statement.

Puzzled says...
I assume that the photo is not representative of the BACS group entry!!!
If it was the rest of the parade must have been dressed in suits.
If the story needs a picture then give it a representative picture.
