PLP chairman Bradley Roberts called on FNM North Abaco candidate Greg Gomez to release his social security information to the public so his employment history in the United States can be reviewed.
Speaking with The Tribune yesterday, Mr Roberts said Mr Gomez’s credibility has been called into question and providing his US social security number is a way to verify his past and his claims.
“I think,” he said, “it would be in their interest to get their candidate to disclose his social security number as to make it available for any and all to do a research as to what Mr Gomez has been doing during his period in the United States.”
“A social security number is like a dog tag, it follows you everywhere you go and can tell you who you worked for and so forth — from there you can make a review and make an analysis as to where he has been employed and how long he has been employed for and so forth in order to authenticate or otherwise what he claims is the situation because a cloud hangs over this young man’s head in terms of his credibility.”
Concerns were recently raised over Mr Gomez’s employment history in the United States, and whether his “convoluted past” is doing harm to his and now the FNM’s credibility.
During a taped interview, Mr Gomez was unable to identify the schools where he claimed he had worked during his time as an “educator” in South Florida.
Backing their candidate the FNM, in a statement issued to the media late Wednesday night, said they have had “sight of pay slips” evidencing Mr Gomez’s employment at three different Middle Schools over a four-year period – as a substitute teacher at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Miami, and a full time teacher at Carroll City Middle School in Carroll City, Florida and at the Lawton Chiles Middle School.
However, it is understood the party only has possession of pay slips from these institutions up until 2005. From 2005 onward, The Tribune understands that Mr Gomez may have resided in the United States without proper documentation.
Maintaining that the FNM did not do their “due diligence” when selecting their by-election candidate, Mr Roberts said he can not understand how someone can offer themselves to be the representative of the people of North Abaco while not being clear on their own past.
“Obviously they (the FNM) did not do their due diligence on this young man – I can tell you that in the PLP we vetted every candidate, every single one, it is mandatory that you do so and embarrassing to be called out like they are,” he said.
“They are stuck with him and I think they accept defeat is evident.”

Interesting that they are asking for this information when the PLP Deputy PM can't even travel to the US. Geez.

Comrade "Brad" contact "Berrihill Investigative Services" which is a skilled Private Investigation Agency, out of Orlando, Florida, and-within 72 hours they can unlock any remaining mystery, by putting on your desk an 'reality' background check of every damn job, Papa's Comrade-Gomez ever collected a paycheck from, while he resided in the USA?
Again, I remind all that this young man is an good, christian native of our Bahamaland, and the main blame must be laid squarely where his troubles began, at the feet of the lawyer/fisherman from Cooper's Town, who decided to "draft" this young man to replace him?

Comrade "Brad" in an online publication this morning a lady going by the name of Sharon Turner has attempted to purify as accurate the statements made by Comrade Gomez, who in her "journalistic" viewpoint were indeed accurate, via what she claims is solid confirmation since obtained by the Nassau Guardian of his USA Jobs?
Comrade Turner has in this same article also claimed that listeners and viewers to last night's Town Hall debate in Marsh Harbor, Abaco, heard stunning and passionate statements made by the "mother" of the PLP's Cooper's Town by-election candidate Comrade Curry, accusing the PLP government of victimizing her now deceased husband, the father of Comrade Curry?
I have been reliably informed that she is NOT the mother of Comrade Curry, but the "wife" of his father, and if I am correct, so much for our Sister Comrade Turner's; first check and recheck your facts, "Journalistic' viewpoints?

Comrad Tal
You need to check your facts as the newspaper said that she was the step mother, not mother,
So once again you have wasted space on this blog.
Also, you must be slipping as in the above post you make no mention of the lawyer/fisherman who hauts you so much.

Comrade Jacksflash below is exactly what the online publication had to say when "they" CORRECTED Sister Comrade Turner's own set of facts. These are their Editor's own words, not mine." I too confirmed with my own sources that what she had said was indeed incorrect reporting. Was it intentional ... not for me to decide?
Editor’s NOTE:
_____ "Actually that was NOT the mother of PLP candidate Renardo Curry – It was his father’s wife – so right away, Ms Sharon Turner" IS mistaken. In fact, that was stated by Darold Miller last night right after Mrs. Curry spoke on television for the nation to see. So why does Ms. Sharon Turner perpetuating such lies? _____

For the PLP to be going so hard at Gomez, it must mean that they are afraid of something? COuld it be that they have already lost the people and want to muddy the waters? This is gutter politics.
