College of Saint Benedict 100th anniversary activities

THE Board of Directors of the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, USA, has announced that the celebration of the College’s 100th anniversary will begin with Commencement activities, May, 2013 and end with Commencement, May, 2014.

Dr. MaryAnn Baenninger, PhD, who has led the administration of this women’s tertiary educational institution for the past nine years, will visit Saint Benedict’s alumnae and friends in Nassau during this weekend, November 2 to 4. Many of the 400 plus women who have earned degrees or at least studied at St. Ben’s for some time, reside in Nassau. President Baenninger plans to meet with some of these “Bennies” between 5 and 7 pm on Saturday at Luciano’s of Chicago Restaurant on East Bay Street.

The College’s Centennial celebration plans and how Bahamian Bennies might participate will hold centre stage during the meeting.

One announced activity is an All-Alumnae, All-School Homecoming weekend, set for June 28-30, 2013. It is expected that past students from throughout the 100 years will return to the campus for a grand gathering.

It`s great that exist people who does something for the educational system and at the same time the students should do all they can to show them the respect. Always a <a href="http://www.marylandpolitics.us/298/star…">new degree</a> could get you a good job and a better life.
