FREEPORT – Police have officially released the identity of the tractor operator who was killed Tuesday evening in an industrial accident as 27-year-old Nevlin Gaitor. Gaitor, a resident of Crown Circle, South Bahamia, was lifting boulders onto a barge when the tractor he was operating dropped in some 60ft of water. According to police reports, the incident occurred around 9:35pm in the area of Cemex Bahamas. Gaitor was reportedly employed with A& C Heavy Equipment & Construction Company.
Executive Marine Management recovered the body from the waters. EMS personnel pronounced Gaitor dead at the scene.
