HEALTH officials have issued an alert for dengue fever in a Central Florida community.
The Palm Beach Post reports that seven cases of dengue fever have been confirmed in Martin and St Lucie counties.
The illness is carried by household mosquitoes and can cause fevers, headaches and muscle and joint soreness. Some cases result in a heavy, red skin rash that can look like measles.
It is uncommon in the United States.
The Florida Department of Health has expanded its health alert to the entire Jensen Beach area in Central Florida.
Mosquito control crews are working in the affected areas.
Officials advise residents to drain any standing water, cover their skin with clothing or repellent and protect windows and doors with screens.

Sounds like this will be the next cover up here.
And don't make the mistake of calling the Minister of Health on a Sunday...

It's here...don't kid yourself that it's not. Medical personnel in PMH have stated 'off the record' that they are actively treating Dengue cases...not a single peep in the public realm though. Guess they are all afraid of being fired by the powers that be that the GOVT is not doing a dang thing to keep the dengue in check.

Not to worry, Nygard's stem cells will cure it. Christie and his cabinet are the lab rats that it will be tested on.

This system (WEA) makes sense for weather alerts and national emergencies. Months ago I was alerted to a tornado in my area by the system[,][1] before I would have heard of it through other channels... it was good to have this in place.
I think making an alarm go off in the middle of the night for an amber alert is an abuse of the system, though[.][2] Or at least a bad design.
