POLICE officers on Monday found three marijuana fields in North Andros worth an estimated street value of $250,000.
Officers of the North Andros Division along with DEU and DEA agents executed “Operation: Green Giant” around 9am at a large marijuana cultivation site in an undisclosed pine forest.
They uprooted and destroyed more than 7,000 marijuana plants, about 100-pounds of marijuana seeds and other farming products and tools.
No one was arrested.

@ rory....America is legalizing pot state by state, it has long been a mister-meaner offence in Canada and Europe. Jamaica has sanctioned herb tours and Uruguay is the first country to fully legalize marijuana....
What does the Bahamas do??.......Increase mandatory jail sentences overwhelming Fox Hill prison with none violent pot heads, declare that nothing could grow here because the soil isn't right, burn every damn seed they can find and allow hardened criminals to rain mayhem and absolute havoc on society......??
For such a small country there sure are A HELL OF A LOT of jackass's here!!

It's the silly autocorrect attached to the editor for this online community. Sometimes you type a word and it changes the spelling, e.g. *for* becomes *fir* (so annoying). It is useful sometimes though...
