2. We spoke to Nelly in Freeport the week of Dec 15th. I spoke to her from Florida on the 15th, and her family apparently spoke to her from Peru after that. She apparently took this boat ride on the 18th of Dec. I left the Bahamas on Nov 17th, and she was waiting there for a month to do this.

Yes pray for patience for comments like this. This is "normal". Worldwide the persons closest to the "harmed" individual are **normally** questioned first. The
Bahamas is no different. There are many con artists who enter our borders in a bid to take advantage of (for the most part) the good nature of the Bahamian people. If you are not one of those persons then God bless you. But first things first, once the missing person's report is submitted, the police will verify the story.

If the story is true...Did her family submit the missing person's report. Secondly you've clearly stated that she took an illegally scheduled voyage from Grand Bahamas to port unknown in the US. No details of the planned route would have been submitted to any port official, this makes things harder. If she struck a deal with unscrupulous people despite your warning it makes it harder still. There is a Bahamian man who has been missing for a few months now on the high seas, his family knew where he was headed despite that info, coast guard, defence force have never found him. This story is unusual and the ocean is broad. (I hope she turns up no matter the scenario)

Anthony Hepburn was just out for what seems to be a regular sea trip. The story was covered by the Tribune. My point is, even with the information given by the family about his legitimate plans, it has been very hard to locate him. It is not an indictment on the lack of concern of the people searching.

Visitors permits are not a guarantee, your Nelly is special to you and her family, but to the immigration system (in the US?) she is just another individual going through a vetting process. Some are permitted and some are denied. Fees are non-refundable.

As far as I know, when I spoke to Sargeant Ewing, he had not yet spoken to family.

At this point: US coast guard has no record of capturing Nelly. The Freeport police have not seen her. The Palm Beach county sheriff, Riviera Beach, Homeland security, City of Palm Beach, etc have not seen her. Rumors that she was arrested in Freeport, other rumors arrested by Palm Beach sheriff, etc. ICE online system has no record, and they told me over the phone they process people within 24 hours.

If she is really missing then God be with her, and I hope you find her. It seems that she came here not just to spend time with you, but really to get to the U.S. What she did was very, very dangerous. I really wished you had talked her out of it. May she be safe where ever she is.

Many times when Americans cruise from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas, they find that their fellow passengers hail from Europe, as well as Central and South America and they flew from those countries to Miami to board the ship. The seemed to have no trouble in so doing. If they wanted to remain in America, they could simply walk off the ship upon return to Miami and disappear into America.

People come here every day via Mexico and are never noticed by the authorities.

This information was given by you to the family in Peru and later confirmed.

You had communication con Lucy before Nelly was giving by missing. You talked to Nelly every day at 7 pm. Nelly does not have that company of exporting goods that it is published here. As a human being, please receive everyone's heartfelt dismay over Nelly being missing. What you must appreciate is that there are many parts of this story that simply don't add up. The comments where people are questioning the missing pieces should be upsetting, but as a sensible person they are not unexpected. You speak of her as a Christian woman, but yet she was a very willing participant in what I must say is very, very dangerous criminal activity....human smuggling. These are hardly the actions of a Christian woman and any character involved in human smuggling are usually the lowest of the low.

While relationships are different for everyone that part also doesn't add up, so various suspicions of you should be addressed also. While to you it may appear that she was coming to the Bahamas to spend time with you, to the objective person she seems to have been planning this all along. There was just recently a story of a British man and a Jamaican woman who had a 2+ year relationship and the moment she hit Britain's soil, upon marrying her in Jamaica, she left him. Just like you, he sent her money, etc. The way he thought the money was being spent it was being saved for other things. Perhaps she never applied for the visas like she said. Perhaps she has something significant in her history that would make the US government deny her admittance that you are unaware of. Because being denied a visitor's visa does not make much sense.

I think what is bothersome for many people is that foreigners come to The Bahamas to illegally gain access to the USA and when they go missing, the Bahamas is expected to make heads or tails of their journey across the open ocean.

(If true) I hope you find him. But again these are people who've made deals with unscrupulous characters, neither Bahamian nor US officials know anything of the intended route, departure or destination port. It will be a miracle if you find any trace of them rather than lack of concern if you do not. There are multiple things that can happen to individuals in these circumstances from being sold into slavery to acts of nature claiming them on the high seas. Maybe you and others can give the Bahamian officials information on these contractors so that we can break up these illegal rings. That may be your friend's legacy.

There is a pretty sizeable Peruvian community in Freeport. Your best bet is to go there and try to talk to them. She may still be there, chilling under the radar until she gets the call to travel. Or, she could have already gone and is in the States regrouping.

I want to make something clear here: This article has a major error in it. I first met Nelly in 2011 on Dec 30. I went down to Peru to meet her for the first time. I had originally spoke to her online on Christian Cafe in May of 2011. We believe these people are being captured and used for organ trafficking which I have surprising learned is a huge business. Before Niyef's family disappeared he was approached by a smuggler named Kevin Higgins who asked him to consider letting his family sell their kidneys. Niyef was alarmed and told the man NO!
