POLICE are investigating the sexual assault of a teenage girl who was allegedly raped on her way home from school Monday night.
According to sources, the junior high school student was walking with another girl, through a track road off Baillou Hill Road, around 5pm, when they were approached and assaulted by several men.
One of the suspects was reportedly dressed in a grey jacket, black shirt and brown cargo pants.
Superintendent Stephen Dean said police did receive a report of an incident, but after investigations, they are not classifying it as a rape at the moment.
He said one of the girls was “molested” by a man, while walking home but would not go into further details.
He did say, however, that police have one man in custody assisting them with their investigations.
