INVESTMENTS Minister Khaalis Rolle says plans to make the recent Bahamas International Investment & Business Forum an annual or biennial eventare being considered, telling Tribune Business: “We want to brand the Bahamas from an investment perspective.”

Mr Rolle said the conference, held at the Grand Lucayan Resort in Freeport, was successful and provided an immediate economic boost to the Bahamas.

“We are mulling whether it’s going to be an annual thing or every two years, and if we will host it on another island. We want to brand the Bahamas from an investment perspective,”said Mr Rolle.

“We had the most successful Bahamas International Business and Investment conference that the country has ever seen; the first one out of the gate and we had 27 nations represented here.

“One of the things I said when I took office was that I wanted to have a very successful international investment conference. Within a few months of assuming office that became a reality. It bodes well for the Bahamas because what is does, it signifies that we are organised about investment and we are outwardly promoting what it is that we are doing.

“We are bringing people to our shores and we have to look at many different opportunities to do business here. We brought people here to look at tourism projects, agriculture, alternative energy, and we spoke about the resort business. We gave a broad overview of what it is we are doing,” said Mr Rolle.

First Thing PGC did was kill it.
I could not believe it.

He said, power is to high in Freeport, I am looking at running a drop cord to tie into FPL in Florida.

Done deal - Keep Freeport down.

Pinder and Rolle were the bright spots!

Nobody will invest here after PGC's comment..

And with the BTC debacale going on the only we will get are the shady ones!0

We are in for tough times!

He needs to stick to the script ,making up things as he goes along always puts him in deep doo doo , he just likes the sound of his own voice.
