A MAN and his girlfriend were arraigned in Magistrate’s Court yesterday, accused of making a false declaration to a US Customs officer and failing to declare $13,300.
During their appearance before Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethell, 39-year-old Ivan Curry of Abaco and 25-year-old Jessica Mott of West Cowpen Road denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty.
It is alleged that on Wednesday, March 20 they were found with $13,300 in US currency in their possession.
They were each granted $7,500 bail and told that they would stand trial on October 28 of this year.
The accused were both represented by attorney Anthony Forbes.
