Lovers' quarrel ends in stabbing

FREEPORT – A lovers’ spat ended with a man being stabbed repeatedly after several of his girlfriend’s friends attacked him.

The 39-year-old victim in currently in hospital with serious wounds to the head and body.

According to police reports, the incident took place just after midnight on Tuesday in the Williams Town area.

Inspector Terecita Pinder said that around 12.26am, a boyfriend and girlfriend were involved in an argument when a group of men who knew the woman became involved.

The most serious stab wound is reportedly to the back and skull.

Emergency personnel transported the man to Rand Memorial Hospital, where his condition is listed as serious. Inspector Pinder said police are following several leads.

Officers are asking anyone with information that can assist with their investigations to call 350-3107/8, 911, 919, or contact the nearest police station.

But you realize the police are asking citizens to do what they are not doing? They've tiptoed around the gaming issue waiting for the politicians to ok their actions. Why then should anyone be courageous in the life and death issues?

Just put out there for thought, I believe in the evil abounds when good men do nothing principle

I dont understand we are talking about people getting murdered every day and we are still on the gaming issue....damn man....do you hear of anybody getting killl at the number houses....we just need to get pass this number issue and deal with the real situation which is MURDERS and UNEMPLOYMENT.....DAMN.
