POLICE raids on two separate homes in New Providence have led to five arrests and the confiscation of a quantity of illegal drugs, a large quantity of ammunition and a fire arm.

Police arrested an 18-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man shortly before 5am on Saturday, May 25 after executing a search warrant on the home they were staying at in Haven Subdivision.

The couple were found in possession of a handgun and ammunition, along with a quantity of marijuana.

This apprehension followed the arrest of a 47-year-old mother and her two sons, aged 28 and 21, this past Friday.

After executing a search warrant on the family’s home located Sri Lanka Drive in Flamingo Gardens, officers of the Selective Enforcement Team (SET) uncovered a large quantity of ammunition.

Police investigations into both incidents continue.
