DISMISSED police constable Toni Sweeting has been denied bail by Court of Appeal judges.
Sweeting was charged along with two others in connection with the April 19 $64K cocaine seizure at Lynden Pindling International Airport.
She was ineligible for bail in the magistrates¹ court when arraigned on April 22 and denied bail by Senior Justice Jon Isaacs on May 2 in the Supreme Court after being deemed a flight risk.
Her last chance for bail was the appellate court, where on May 23, her attorney, Jomo Campbell, argued that she was innocent until proven guilty and was not a flight risk.
The court stood its decision down until today and this morning the ruling was handed down by court president, Justice Anita Allen.
