I don't begrudge him getting the best care he can afford, Bahamian, non-Bahamian it doesn't matter to me. Lets not forget that some of our better doctors in the Bahamas are non-Bahamian. There's also the concern about privacy.

He will be just ok, I'm more worried about us suckers back here, you hear who he left in charge?

He knows the severe shortage of hospital beds, basic medicines, and overworked doctors on rediculous work schedules, underpaid nurses, and nurse student graduates who can't get paid but who have had their lunch stipend taken away because they are no longer students.

If I ran my hospital the way he runs his, I wouldn't want to go there to get a splinter taken out of my finger.

Smart guy.

Maybe it will do him some good as well to see how a real hospital works abroad, and he can bring some of those 20th century ideas and technology (not 21st - that's hoping for too much) back here and put them into practice.
