A MAN and a woman are fighting for their lives in hospital after being shot in two separate incidents early yesterday morning.
The first shooting took place at 3.45am in South Beach.
Police say the victim, a man, was attending a party at Valencia Drive when he was involved in an altercation with another man, who shot him in the back with a handgun.
The suspect then fled on foot, but witnesses could not say in what direction. The victim was taken to hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
The second incident happened around 9.30am.
Police say the female victim was standing with a group of persons in the Ferguson Sub Division area, when two men, one armed with a handgun, approached them and opened fire.
The two men fled on foot. The woman was shot in the stomach and was taken to hospital where she is also listed in serious condition.
A short while later, police arrested 23-year-old man in the Carmichael Road area in connection with this matter. He is currently being questioned.

Well, this should be a lesson for this young lady. These gangsters who she got involved with is so terrible that they poison their friends minds against neighbors who isn't into the sh*ts they're into. This girl like most of their friends who are followers and don't have common sense, don't even speak to like me and others because we will tell her sorry, you're hanging with the wrong crowd or try to go home to your mother. I watch them everyday and this is only a taste of what will come soon. when you live a dangerous life what do you expect? It wasn't a surprise to me. Now she is a girl friend of one of the gangsters who the shot was for. All I can say is sorry to se yall lives wasted like that, I wish I had the power to give your lives what you don't value to others who are begging the good lord for another day.
