Man shot and killed in Pinewood Gardens

POLICE are investigating the country's latest homicide after a man was shot and killed in the Pinewood Gardens area earlier today.

Police say a man in his late 20s was shot just outside his home around 6.30am.

According to reports the victim was approached by a man armed with a handgun who opened fire hitting him multiple times. The victim ran into his neighbour's yard where he collapsed and died a short time later.

This brings the murder count to 91 for the year.

Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to contact police ar 911 0r 919, the Central detective unit at 502-9991 or crime stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

And where is the witness protection program? A strong and clear message needs to be sent to persons who threaten, tamper with or even kill witnesses in this country. Else the bottom will fall out of our justice system

Happen to know someone who witnessed it...not too sure if he is providing info to the police or not...I don't blame him if he doesn't come forward...and that is sad.

Well if Bahamians keep being killed off the way its been happening for the past decade, they don't need condoms they will soon need fertility clinics. They wiping out the young Bahamian man..ever ask yourself why? genocide and make it look like they killing each other

This guy is probably out on bail for some other murder or murders. It is so sad we law abiding citizens can't arm ourselves but the criminals all have guns.
