PRIME Minister Perry Christie and members of his Cabinet turned out for the launch of the Global United Fellowship of Churches, which is being headed by Bishop Neil Ellis.
The event, which was held at the Atlantis Ballroom on Paradise Island has been in the making ever since Bishop Ellis broke away from the Full Gospel Fellowship in August of this year.
His new church fellowship is made up of pastors from the Bahamas, the United States and the Turks and Caicos Islands. To date, GUF has a membership of 80 churches from the Bahamas and around the world.

Christie should have been a preacher. His eyes are lifeless except when he is at a church podium or doing the "Christie Shuffle".

clearly there is no separation of church and state in this country. what a waste of time. also, I am curious to know if anyone from the opposition attended this spectacle.

Nice to see the government help to keep the mass broke and stupid by endorsing another church that is so needed in the Bahamas!

Churches get all the crown land they want in return for telling the populace to “just keep praying" for jobs, food, security and good government.
Not once has any church told their mindless sheep that the Bible teaches "prayer without works is dead"....."you FOOLISH PERSON, that faith apart from works is useless"
JAMES 2: 14-26
14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,
16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?
17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!
20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?
22 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works;
23 And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God.
24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?
26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
Prayer meetings, prayer Months and prayer vigils for years on end and NOT ONE minister told their sheep that they must "ACT" as well as pray for GOOD GOVERMENT.

I,m always weary of man made religious institution where the men ,or old queens ,love to dress up in flowing dresses ,purple slippers and funny hats .I am not anti gay ,thats peoples own business ,but as much as the churches rail against homosexuality its ironic that the pastors ,priest etc are either sex beast or gay men ,,
