DETECTIVES believe they know who stole Demetrius Pinder’s 2012 Olympic Gold Medal in Bradenton, Florida.
After receiving numerous tips from citizens, investigators say they were able to identify 22-year-old Allen Jeffery Nichols as the gold medal thief.
A warrant has now been issued for Nichols’ arrest.
On September 11, Pinder reported his 2012 Olympic Gold Medal had been stolen. Pinder won the medal as part of the 4x400 meter relay team for the Bahamas. The theft of the 24-karat gold medal occurred in the 4600 block of 66th Street West in Bradenton, a city in Manatee County, Florida.

If the medal is ever recovered, Mr. Pinder needs to make a bee line to a reputable bank and secure it n a safe deposit box. Now that the public knows the value of it, many fingers may be itching to touch it in a 'cash for gold"
