How many people already drowned off Potters Cay now...when are they going to properly enclose that area so that only fishermen have access with their boats. SMH!!!

Didn't a fisherman whom went to dive up conch never resurface? So what good would that do. What about the various mail boat passengers? What about the persons sending parcels on the mail boats? What about the persons purchasing fish from the fishermen? To hell with all of that, yeah just enclose that area. Furthermore who is to say the body didn't float where it was discovered. Where the body was found doesn't mean that is where the body entered the waters.

I don't think she was a fisherman, furthermore from news reports that man was drunk and diving conch. Which says much about the people that let him dive conch in such a condition...

I am not saying enclose of the area so people can't get the the fisherman or the conch stalls whatever...I am talking about areas of the pier that you can walk right up to or drive your vehicle right off the side.

All I am suggesting is a little better security measures...

Doesn't take much in the harbour there...especially under the concrete piers when the tide is flowing, you are pretty much helpless at full flow.

First of all, they should have never let Potters Cay turn into what it is. That whole area should have just been a fisherman, mail boat docking area. The late night activities etc are contributing to the danger of this area for both Tourists & Bahamians.
