TWO American tourists are in police custody and will appear in court this week after they were found with marijuana in their possession.
According to the Royal Bahamas Police Force, a 28-year-old woman of Southbridge, Massachusetts, and a 27-year-old woman of Waltham, Massachusetts, were arrested after officers from the Tourism Police Unit went on board a docked cruise ship and made the discovery. The incident happened at 9:30am on Friday.

Bahamians get arrested for small amounts of marijuana every day of the week, all over the islands. Its no big deal. Its never in the newspapers. The magistrates just give them a suspended sentence and make them go pick up trash by the roadside one or two days.
But if a tourist gets arrested with a couple of joints, it's a BIG STORY in the newspaper. Can somebody from the newspaper explain why that is? Anybody explain that?

Why are the police harassing tourists? They were not trafficking large amount of drugs. They had personal quantities and the police see fit to waste their time on this. Tourism is what our country lives on. They come here to have fun in the sun, not be arrested for something trivial. Why didn't they just ask where they got it from and go and arrest the actual dealer. This is a waste of our tax dollars and a waste of police resources to do something that is damaging our main source of income in this country.

May Govt will soon raise the customs duty rates, so that I can pay EVEN MORE MONEY to cover police, judges, and public prosecutor salaries to waste even more time with marijuana and whatever else the church tells them to do.

Just because it's a law, doesn't make it right. Just because government decides what is right for you, doesn't mean you should live the way they tell you. SMH at sheeple.

And the scribes and Pharisees watched Him, whether He would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against Him.
Candace, you would have made an excellent Scribe.
