AUTHORITIES have launched an intensive manhunt for a man they described as “armed and dangerous” who escaped from the Grove Police Station on Baillou Hill Road over the weekend.

According to reports, Tamicko Williams, 22, of Podoleo Street, was being held at the station on armed robbery and burglary related charges.

Williams is described as of dark brown complexion, slim build and about 5’ 7” to 5’ 8” inches tall. He has black hair and brown eyes.

While social media was buzzing yesterday with alerts that Williams was wanted “dead or alive”, Police spokesman Superintendent Stephen Dean said the Royal Bahamas Police Force were not advising the general public to take matters into their own hands, which would endanger their own lives. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at  911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

Seems like there is a lot of slackness revolving around this 'grove' station.

Dead or alive? Is that normal?

In the wild wild west it certainly is... haven't you gotten the memo yet. The Bahamas is back to wild wild west days...anything goes.

It does not surprise me coming from the Grove...that little police station is about as useless as they get. He didn't 'escape'...he was conveniently let go.
