A TEAM of police officers were last night sent from Nassau to investigate the robbery of the Mayaguana island administrator.
According to police, the administrator was abducted and tied up by “persons unknown” before they escaped with a substantial amount of money.
The robbery follows an incident last month on the island, in which police were called in after explosive caps were found in the middle of the island’s runway.
Officers are calling for anyone with information in the latest incident to contact police.

V Alfred Gray and his Cabinet colleagues have to get in there and get a grip on the chaos going on in these far flung southern islands. They seem to be too violent for just a handful of people living there.
Acklins now Mayaguana abducting and robbing Administrators, Crooked Island burning down Govt Office and Inagua forever burning down things. These islands need banks just like other islands and proper law enforcement and communications.
