A 36-year-old man is in police custody after he was caught “exposing himself” to tourists on Paradise Island beach on Saturday.
According to reports, around 6:50pm, police on Paradise Island received reports that a man was exposing himself to women tourists and making sexual advances towards them.
When they arrived at the beach, they saw a 36-year-old Faith Avenue man with his private parts exposed.
He was making sexual gestures at the female tourists.
He was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned sometime this week.
Meanwhile, police also arrested four men in connection with two homicides in the capital.
According to reports, on Friday officers of the Flying Squad, acting on intelligence, arrested a 23-year-old man of Cordeaux Avenue and a 20-year-old man of 2nd Street in connection with the murder of Ryan Smith.
Smith was shot in the head hours after two women he was suspected of killing died of their injuries.
His body was found on a dirt road off Sumner Street last Tuesday.
Superintendent Paul Rolle, officer in charge of the Central Detective Unit, said Smith was a suspect in the murder of Latoya Williams, who was shot outside her nightclub as well as Nadia Cartwright who was shot in the head on a motorcycle. Both women were killed in the early morning hours of August 11.
Police also arrested an 18-year-old youth and a 29-year-old man, both of Yellow Elder Gardens, in connection with the murder Leonaise Jones.
Leonaise was shot and killed around 4am on January 4, by suspects who fired shots through her bedroom window.
Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
