A MAN was shot dead last night.

At about 8.40pm, gunshots were heard in the McQuay Street area, just off Nassau Street, and officers arrived to find the dead body of a 44-year-old man, of Bacardi Road.

The victim had reportedly gone to visit relatives. As he pulled up, a black male accosted him, pulled a gun and opened fire, hitting the victim several times and killing him.
