POLICE are investigating the reported sexual assault of a woman who was allegedly attacked while walking in eastern New Providence.

Police were told that a woman was walking through a track road off Prince Charles Drive, when she was accosted by a man who allegedly forced her to have sexual intercourse with him against her will shortly before 3pm on Wednesday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Stephen Dean could not provide further details on the matter explaining that police were still investigating the circumstances behind the report.

The woman’s age was not provided and police did not say if she knew her alleged attacker.
