COB assistant professor and her son shot in their home

A COB assistant professor and her son are in hospital after being shot in their home in Blue Hill Estates Tuesday afternoon.

Judith Blair, 68, and her son Marvin Blair, 34, were shot when two masked gunmen broke into their home as Mrs Blair as tutoring her 14-year-old grandson around 2.30pm. The gunmen were reportedly seeking money.

Mrs Blair is believed to have been shot in her stomach, while her son sustained a gunshot wound to his torso.

Both of them were taken to Princess Margaret Hospital, along with the grandson who was physically unharmed, but is being treated for trauma.

See Wednesday's Tribune for the full story.

What did Nero do while Rome burned? Do we really know Nero? Here's some of the things he did while he was Emperor of the Roman Empire:

Hmm, let's see... Nero did the following things:

- committed incest with and then finally murdered his mother after years of attempted assassinations
- tied people to stakes and had them castrated and then molested them for sexual excitement
- went out at night into the streets and committed rapes and murdered unsuspecting pedestrians
- possibly set Rome on fire and did nothing to stop it
- had his first wife executed and then kicked his second pregnant wife to death
- had a boy castrated and then held a sham marriage ceremony with him and forced him to pretend to be his wife
- poisoned his aunt and had most of his family killed
- committed suicide out of cowardice and fear of being defeated

I guess this will be recorded as causing harm and a theft not a home invasion and attempted murder.

This government is not serious about crime ... if they were the Deputy Prime Minister would not be taking pictures with gaming bosses (gambling is STILL illegal) and says he sees nothing wrong with it. How then do you expect criminals to see anything wrong with stealing from you and me when the goverment is in bed with "white collar" criminals? Crime is crime ... either you are against all forms or you are a part of the problem.
