No comment on hospital suspension

OFFICIALS at the Public Hospitals Authority last night refused to comment on the apparent suspension of its managing director as it probes the alleged mishandling of a multi-million dollar bond.

PHA Chairman Frank Smith confirmed that the investigation was in the “preliminary stages”; however, last night officials remained tightlipped over the details of managing director Herbert Brown’s alleged suspension or the bond, which was said to be valued at more than $30 million.

Minister of Health Dr Perry Gomez did not respond to calls placed yesterday.

How is it in God's name that corruption is so rampant in this country? Why is Shane overseeing NIB? Why is BOB handing out unheard of loans to political operatives?

Thank God for CWC.
